TakeoutWaiter.com Opening 16 New Locations in '16: How They Are Emerging as the Gold Standard

With stiff competition in the restaurant delivery space, Restaurant Delivery USA's business model - licensing Takeout Waiter - allows local entrepreneurs to legitimately tap into the $400 Billion industry.

In January, they had one. They are Restaurant Delivery USA, and what they had just after the first of the year was one TakeoutWaiter.com licensee in Bowling Green , Kentucky, Tina Merkle Boling.

"The [big boys] are just now copying the model we've been researching and developing for the past quarter century," explained RDUSA CEO, Mike Handy via email. "Maybe they're just now figuring out that there really is no other way, but perhaps their investors were tired of feeding an insatiable cash cow. Could be a little of both, but what we've always tried to do as an organization is to first make those lives and communities we touch a little better as a result of having dealt with us." Handy continues, "When you've been doing this as long as we have, it's obvious you're doing something right, but we have continued to remain at the forefront of our industry as far as  the most effective practices simply because of the people who adopted our passion and worked the model."

As February rolled in, and traction for Bowling Green's location was gaining serious momentum - both on social media and overall profitability - RDUSA entered into its second TakeoutWaiter.com licensing agreement with an entrepreneur and veteran in the South Indy/Greenwood, Indiana market, Barry Wright. Competitor, DoorDash was quick to respond opening the very next week in the same location, but Takeout Waiter has quickly proven to be a viable adversary for the corporate giant. "Unlike many of our competitors, we never raise our restaurants' menu prices," said Wright in an email. Meanwhile, RDUSA was contacted by a then-failing RDS in Columbus, GA for help, and on March 28th, Takeout Waiter of Columbus, Georgia was born. During the same month, Restaurant Delivery USA signed additional agreements to license the Takeout Waiter brand with local investors in Florida, Colorado, and Texas, respectively.

RDUSA will also open its very first corporate Takeout Waiter location in Florida this Summer, and with initial restaurant partners like Longhorn Steakhouse, Applebee's Neighborhood Bar & Grill among others to be named at a later date, expectations are high. "We merely expect to lead by example," RDUSA CEO, Mike Handy said. "We will follow our own model, but also tap into the corporate catering market that many services flat out ignore once things start progressing nicely for them."

The 'business model' as Handy calls it, is quite simple - on the surface, and from a customer's perspective anyway - featuring an e-commerce platform where customers can place takeout orders from their favorite restaurants, and have them delivered typically within 45 minutes (and where local owner/operators handle the demand and logistics throughout their respective service's daily operations). But the Restaurant Delivery USA business model separates itself from their competitors by implementing management and training of professional restaurant delivery drivers, a national call and dispatch center, and year-round inbound and outbound marketing campaigns that continue to rake in profits in the tens of millions for their clients - both past and present.

It all began for the RMDS (that is, Restaurant Marketing & Delivery Service) guru, Mike Handy as he worked his way up the ranks of a large catering company in Dallas, Texas during the late '80's. He later seized an opportunity to launch his own catering service, Delectable Edibles, in Orlando, Florida in 1991. Prior to its sale, Handy's company accounted for over $2 Million in sales during its last 12 months in operation. He then began his career in the restaurant delivery service industry by launching his very first attempt at the business, Order Up.After being featured in a nationally syndicated article, Mike was contracted to consult on the very first national restaurant delivery service brand, Takeout Taxi, managing three corporate stores during his tenure.

Throughout Handy's time away from the food delivery service industry, he continued to hone what is now the most profitable multi-restaurant marketing and delivery service business model in existence. Having lived and trained others the secrets to success in restaurant delivery, coupled with his extensive background in large-scale food service and a true marketing mindset, Mike Handy was poised for a career in restaurant delivery akin to astronomical proportions. "A couple of times, I have tried to make a break from [this business], but when so many people seek you out because you are that one clue within the success for which they search... How can you say no to someone that believes with all their heart that you are the only one who can help them?" asked Handy.

If one could travel through time to the end of the current year of our Lord, 2016, he or she would find a total of 16 TakeoutWaiter.com locations scattered throughout this great nation with many more to follow in the coming months and years.
