The Technology Association of Georgia presents a panel of practitioners and discussion about business benefits, and how the industry is currently adopting and how can it adopt to Internet of Things (IoT) in the future.

TAG Systems Engineering Society presents a panel of Internet of Things (IoT) practitioners from Intel Corporation, the Georgia Tech Research Institute and Daugherty Business Solutions to separate the hype from the practical use of IoT in enterprise. The panel event is on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm EST at Phipps Tower, 3438 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30326.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is “the network of physical objects or “things” embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity which enables these objects to collect and exchange data,” as defined by the Internet of Things Global Standards Initiative.

What are the practical business benefits? How are industries adopting it? How does new technology align with the trends in the IT world?

Panelists will discuss how a solid systems engineer approach is needed to harness all of the opportunities of IoT while avoiding the many obvious and some not so obvious pitfalls.
