SYSTRAN Attends ALC 2018 With Pure Neural Machine Translation (PNMT) Cloud Technology
SAN DIEGO, Calif., March 16, 2018 (Newswire.com) - SYSTRAN, a global leader in language translation technology for 50 years, will be bringing its latest voyage into machine learning to the annual Association of Languages Conference (ALC), April 25-28, 2018 in Scottsdale, AZ. In response to requests from language companies for a product meant for LSP workflows and connectivity to CAT tools, SYSTRAN has launched the PNMTCloud.
PNMTCloud - utilizing SYSTRAN’s Pure Neural MT - lives in a virtual private cloud and connects to the most used CAT tools. SYSTRAN plans to provide private demos of its newest solution utilizing neural machine translation, the “Pure Neural Machine Translation (PNMT) Cloud.”
In theory, the Internet erased geographical barriers and allowed players of all sizes from all places to compete in what we often call a 'global economy,' But we're not all global competitors because not all of us can communicate in the 26 languages that have 50 million or more speakers. NMT removes language barriers, enabling new and existing players to be global communicators and thus real global competitors. We're living in the post-internet economy, and we're stepping into the post-language economy.
Denis A. Gachot, CEO of SYSTRAN Software Inc.
The PMNTCloud addresses the translation productivity opportunities that are becoming increasingly accessible for small-to-midsize language service providers (LSP) with geographically-dispersed teams. With PNMTCloud, LSPs can access SYSTRAN’s technology at a more economical price and anywhere in the world on the Cloud. This technology is capable of translating English into ten unique languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Arabic) inaccurate, real-time transcription.
"You can think of NMT as part of your international go-to-market strategy," says Denis A. Gachot, CEO of SYSTRAN Software Inc. "In theory, the Internet erased geographical barriers and allowed players of all sizes from all places to compete in what we often call a 'global economy,' But we're not all global competitors because not all of us can communicate in the 26 languages that have 50 million or more speakers. NMT removes language barriers, enabling new and existing players to be global communicators and thus real global competitors. We're living in the post-internet economy, and we're stepping into the post-language economy."
The engine uses an Artificial Intelligence Neural Network to mimic the learning process of the human brain, allowing pattern recognition and fewer usage errors throughout translation servicing. PNMT processes a complete sentence or paragraph using the context of the overall association of words instead of translating segment by segment. The result is a complete and accurate translation. This technology has innovated significantly by utilizing a grading system based on fluency, raising the translation beyond simple syntax.
SYSTRAN’s team is offering demonstrations of the PNMTCloud software at the ALC 2018 Conference, with technical staff on site to guide visitors through the newest development in machine learning technology.
