Surplus Record Machinery Adds Alerts for New Machinery, Tools and Electrical Equipment Listings

Long-time machinery marketplace adds customizable alerts that notify dealers each time a product they're interested in is added to the directory

For nearly 100 years, Surplus Record has been leading the market in used, new and surplus industrial machinery and equipment. Its printed catalog became a staple for buyers seeking to have access to all the machines available for sale across every dealer, sorted by category.

When SurplusRecord.com first launched in 1995, it displayed all the listings from the book on the website, as well as a bulletin board for dealers to find and sell hard-to-find machinery. Now the business has taken things one step further, offering a feature that allows dealers to be alerted each time a product they're interested in is added to the directory.

The company's current database includes more than 111,000 machinery and electrical equipment listings and, as part of the site's newest feature, dealers can have confidence that they will be made aware when new products are added, saving them time and the hassle of running multiple searches manually.

By customizing the types of alerts they would like to receive, dealers are able to know what is available as soon as it's added to the site's directory. Users can simply visit the site to sign up for alerts in the top-right corner of the screen, selecting any category or section, to receive information about availability on products like hydraulic presses and AC Motors, or more specific searches like H-frame presses or Squirrel Cage AC Motors. Dealers can also select a manufacturer or model or even a keyword in the listing title to receive alerts.

The company anticipates the new feature will allow dealers to stay a step ahead of their competitors, finding the best machine deals first or simply staying up-to-date on the machines and equipment being added to the Surplus Record directory.

"We've been connecting dealers and manufacturers for nearly a century," said Jon Stephenson, SVP of Sales. "Let us help you grow your business today."
