Sunny Isles Beach Shuttle Bus App Gives Riders Up-to-the-Minute Tracking
Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, February 16, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Residents can now use a smart phone or tablet to track the SIB Shuttle as it progresses stop-by-stop through the City. Download the new SIBshuttle mobile application (app) to view the routes and to see exactly when a bus will arrive at a particular bus stop.
The City of Sunny Isles Beach launched the bus locator app, called SIBshuttle, to enable riders to track the progress of the City’s free shuttle bus in real time. The App is free and available for iPads, iPhones, and Androids. Once downloaded, a user can choose a route, save a favorite stop, or locate oneself within the bus route. It is accessible in three languages, English, Spanish and Russian. By using the new SIBshuttle Mobile App, residents or visitors will know how many minutes away the bus is from each stop. Users can plan their trips directly from the phone by accessing the orange and blue bus routes. Access the route from a home computer online at SIBshuttle.net. Connect via telephone for automated bus schedule information by calling the SIBshuttle hotline number at 305.741.0907.
Included in the bus app is a statistical feature which counts the number of passengers loading and unloading at each stop. That information will help determine which stops or sections of the route have the heaviest usage, enabling the City to implement bus schedule adjustments in the future.
