Success in Alternatives to Plastic Utensils

Colorado based United Management Group announces that it is finding success with replacing plastic utensils with biodegradable disposable utensils.

United Management Group (UMG) is a Colorado-based company that is finding success in developing, marketing and selling biodegradable plastic utensils.

As businesses continue to adopt corporate responsibility objectives in their decisions it can be a win-win to move to biodegradable plastic utensils, and allow customers to appreciate the reasons for the decision.

UMG has improved their food service products with a highly developed process that uses corn as the primary ingredient in plastic utensil manufacturing. These products have shown to fully degrade in landfill conditions in less than a year.

August Dennig, Owner and President of UMG states: "We believe that replacing toxic materials with sustainable, biodegradable materials is a good step in the right direction, on many levels. We provide an alternative to the entrenched problem of wasteful food trays, food containers and plastic trash bags. If you operate a food service establishment, whether in a public school district, university, hospital, supermarket, farmers market, restaurant or resort, there is something you can do today by using our products as a gesture that shows you too care about making changes for the better, however nominal they may seem."
