Strong Workability Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver Review

The TaylorMade Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver offers exceptional distance with extremely light weight.

With the Burner SuperFast 2.0 and SuperFast 2.0 TP, TaylorMade hopes to make a fast club even faster, as suggested by their name. However, the latter offers more speed and power in a Tour-Proven head. It has a slightly more open and shallower face than the standard Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver, and it also features a heavier Tour Velvet grip with strong workability. Today I will review the TP version of SuperFast 2.0 driver. Below are some details for you to know more about the fabulous driver.

Sweet Look and Longer Shaft Design
At a first glance, this thing looks sweet, black sole, black face, black dual crown with a "honeycomb" design. I really love how this club sets up as well, the non-TP version seemed to set up very closed, but the TP version just sits perfectly square and neutral.

The Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver is one of the fastest drivers in TaylorMade's arsenal, thanks to a longer than normal shaft (46 inches) and an aggressively shaped clubhead design. The curved crown around the front and heel of the club helps reduce drag, increasing clubhead speed by up to 2 mph over the '09 Burner TP.

More Distance Through Tour-proven Dual Crown Technology
The driver also features a slightly open clubface alignment that is pleasing to the skilled player's eye as well as an aerodynamic crown shape that reduces drag and promotes more ball speed for more distance. It comes with TaylorMade's Tour-proven Dual Crown Technology, which creates precision-placed center of gravity for distance-enhancing launch angles.

A dual crown, with the smaller of the two crowns on top, allows extra weight to be pulled back low and deep in the head to increase carry and distance. An expanded face area (just over 4,000 square millimeters) and 460cc head also boost confidence.

Surprisingly Forgiving
The face of the Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 TP Driver isn't quite as big as I hoped a 460cc head to be, but it is still surprisingly forgiving. From the front face view of the club, you can visibly notice the dual crown extending past the end of the face, which I believe helps on toe mishits. With the Fubuki X-Stiff shaft, the clubhead stays very stable through the hitting zone, and helps to provide more consistent contact. The sweet spot on this club seems to start from the middle of the face and extend up and towards the toe. Besides, it has very solid feel, and provides good feedback on mishits. You can feel where you mishit the ball quite easily. Through the hitting zone, you can feel the ball just rocket off the face.

Overall, I really like the workability of this club. I can draw it when I need to, and hit that high, soft cut as well. I finally find a driver that suits me best. It will accompany me all my life and help me achieve better results day by day.
