StorageOS to Highlight Persistent Container Storage at CloudNativeCon and Tech Field Day Events

StorageOS, an on-demand, persistent container storage startup, today announced its executives will be featured speakers at two key industry events: CloudNativeCon and Tech Field Day 12. The executives will discuss how persistent, container storage enables organizations to build enterprise-ready, scalable container-based applications.

CloudNativeCon, which takes place Nov. 8-9 in Seattle, gathers leading open source and cloud native technologists to further the education and advancement of Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Native architectures. On November 8 at 1:45 pm, StorageOS co-founder and vice president of Engineering Simon Croome will lead a “Lightning Talk” on Benchmarking Persistent Data Volumes, where he’ll discuss and demonstrate various methods for benchmarking block storage performance in containers, including some of the tools used at StorageOS.

Tech Field Day events bring together innovative IT product vendors and independent thought leaders to share information and opinions in a presentation and discussion format. StorageOS is a presenting sponsor at the November 15-16 event in San Jose, CA, where CEO Chris Brandon, CTO Alex Chircop and Croome will be speaking and broadcasting live at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 15, on StorageOS’ software-only solution that provides enterprise-class block storage capability on top of commodity disk and cloud storage.

Currently in beta with enterprise customers and developers, the StorageOS software enables stateful containers while delivering enterprise features such as highly available volumes, which are encrypted in transit and in rest, implemented via a rules-based engine. As StorageOS can run on bare metal, virtual machines, native container environment and in the cloud, customers can avoid cloud provider lock-in, rapidly implement scale-out production storage and facilitate secure cloud migration.
