Storage Guardian's New ConnectWise PSA Integration Lets MSPs Streamline Client Backup Performance and Status

IT solutions providers can now take advantage of ConnectWise to automate tracking and reporting of their clients' online backup sessions and receive a broad range of customizable reports. $50/TB/month and integration with the ConnectWise PSA.

Storage Guardian, the company that specializes in online and cloud backup solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, has completed integration of its online backup software with the ConnectWise Professional Services Automation (PSA) software. Storage Guardian took full advantage of the ConnectWise PSA APIs and can now offer comprehensive backup session reporting that puts managed service providers (MSPs) in complete control of each client's backup status via their standard ConnectWise PSA ServiceBoard.

The solution is designed for use by MSPs that manage data backup for their clients, where it is not uncommon for an individual MSP to handle 250 unique backup sets every day - some have many more. Now, these MSPs will be automatically notified via their ConnectWise PSA ServiceBoard if any of their client backups did not execute properly, an approach that is much more efficient that the alternative: manually scanning reporting logs for errors.

"Thousands of IT solutions providers rely on ConnectWise to provide a unified view of their managed services and to boost their business efficiency and profitability," said Dave Minns, client services manager at Storage Guardian. "Adding Storage Guardian's data feed to that 360-degree view means MSPs and VARs can now be in complete control of their clients' cloud backup and can take a proactive, rather than reactive, role in managing backup procedures for their clients."

Fully integrated solution streamlines backup monitoring for managed service providers
The new integration enables ConnectWise PSA customers to quickly implement and deploy Storage Guardian's cloud backup service for their clients without the need for any additional MSP modules. Conversely, MSPs that currently resell Storage Guardian's cloud backup services can now license the ConnectWise PSA product and take immediate advantage of the enhanced backup reporting and efficiencies it offers.

Storage Guardian can tailor the structure and frequency of ConnectWise reports to meet the varied needs of different solutions providers, and can offer MSPs cloud backup services starting at $50/TB/month, providing an attractive recurring revenue stream for its reseller partners. "We're getting a very positive response from MSPs that have signed up for the service, and we're happy to schedule evaluations for ConnectWise customers who want to add cloud backup to their current suite of services," added Minns.

Storage Guardian offers a complete range of cloud backup solutions for MSPs and VARs priced to grow an MSP's bottom line, including the Storage Guardian Mobile Client, a comprehensive remote data backup and recovery solution for businesses that need more than typical mass-market backup products can offer. Designed for businesses with several desktop computers, numerous laptops and some network-attached storage units, Storage Guardian Mobile Client provides an all-inclusive backup and recovery service that ensures all crucial data is safely backup-up to a secure, offsite datacenter.
