Spencer Green, GDS International and all associated ventures now pin hopes on 3.45, a charitable venture launched recently.

Spencer Green, the founder-chairman of GDS International had launched 3.45 along with his wife Emily. He is also a former Junior Wimbledon player, Wales rugby fan, practising marathon runner and competitive cyclist and has launched this venture well in advance of the London Marathon, for which he is practising in a very systematic manner. Spencer has this to say, "I'm training for the London Marathon. It's fair to say that I am not naturally built for long-distance running. I have two cracking legs. I love them, my wife loves them. Excellent legs they are. For rugby..." Making clear the link between the London Marathon and his new venture, Green says, "...these legs are going to get me over the finish line in three hours and 45 minutes. That's the goal: 3.45 (and it's the name of me and my wife, Emily's fundraising efforts on behalf of The National Autistic Society)".

Spencer Green studied law at Kings College, London and then worked as a member of The Rolling Stones' road crew and also as Sales Manager at Sterling Publications. Then, in 1993, he launched his own publishing firm, which got changed to GDS International, a privately owned business-to-business events and media company, in 1998. From there, is has been a meteoric growth and last year, recorded revenue for Spencer Green's GDS International from its offices in Bristol and Cardiff (UK), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia),New York (U.S.A.) and Sydney (Australia) was £40 million.
