Online, August 21, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Soul II Soul rocked Buddha Beach Marbella, Spanish home of TOWIE, the most popular TV show in the UK. In the Summer Marbella is filled with modern and innovative Beach Bars and Buddha Beach is one of them. In the TV-Series The only way is Essex the characters speak of "Marbs" which means Marbella and last night, the Marbs crowd were showing off their early nineties moves whilst frollocing in the pool. The London band Soul II Soul really brought things Back to Life for the remainder of the evening.
The unique sound of Soul ll Soul who's single "Back to Life (However do you want me)" topped the UK charts in 1989 is the UK group founded by Jazzie B, a well known DJ and music producer who's produced and remixed tracks for Sinead O'connor, James Brown, Ziggy Marley and Destiny's Child. Soul II Soul brought some old school club music to Buddha Beach Marbella and the whole beach bar was pumping.
Buddha Beach Marbella is mostly famous for being the favourite Beach Club of TOWIE (The Only Way Is Essex) actors such as Mark Wright, Lauren Goodger, Amy Childs, Sam Faiers and James 'Arg' Argent and this is where the expression "Marbs" which is short for Marbella, first were exclaimed. Buddha Beach Marbella is an exclusive Beach Club just outside Puerto Banus where a lot of the TOWIE stars have been relaxing during the summer. The club is set up with a Bali inspired decoration scheme and has several large elephants and Buddha statues in it's gardens. In the centre there is a covered bar and around this bar and the round pool there is plenty of sunbeds that can be hired hourly or for a whole day. Buddha Beach's inhouse DJ play anything from progressive ambient music to Jazzy house and pop.
The Soul II Soul stage was set up on the far side of the rounded pool where the crowd could dance around it. The group played some of their greatest hits like "Back To Life" and "Keep on Moving" mixed with some new songs, and as they called it "Work in progress".
