Something Spooky in Truckee
TRUCKEE, Calif., July 31, 2017 (Newswire.com) - This October, Trails & Vistas presents an eerie experience exploring spooky ghostly tales in their Truckee's Haunted Historic Tour. During the walkabout through the area's sinister past of yesteryear, participants will be guided through the first home, first school, first church, the oldest building and the oldest retail store in Truckee … and, there just may be a haunted visit by one of the ghosts rumored to inhabit these haunts.
WHAT: Truckee's Haunted Historic Tour
We take full creative license to ensure our guests are thoroughly entertained, occasionally harassed and sometimes doted upon.
Maria Jones, Tour Producer
WHEN: October 19 – 20, 2017
Tours leave every 15 minutes and last about 1 hour and 45 minutes
TICKETS: $45 (Special group rates available), 21+ only

While the twists and turns of the tour are kept secret, event goers can expect an adventure filled with fright. The writers, actors and producers have been working for months to come up with performances that are based on actual events that took place in Truckee — with a little bit of added flair for entertainment's sake.
"We take full creative license to ensure our guests are thoroughly entertained, occasionally harassed and sometimes doted upon," says tour producer Maria Jones.
Performances will take place at the host sponsor sites: Cabona's, Community Arts Center, OLAB Grey's Cabin, Church of the Mountains, Sacred Salon, Ela Chapman Boutique and Art Truckee in the Capitol Building. Before and after the tour, participants are invited to sneak up to the bar at Moody's, the sponsoring watering hole.
Truckee's Haunted Historic Tour is the main fundraiser for Trails & Vistas. Proceeds from the tour are used to fund community art hikes and the Arts in Nature field trip serving over 300 third-grade students in Tahoe and Truckee. The field trip is located at Sand Harbor and gives children an interactive experience of environmental education, visual art, poetry, storytelling, music and natural history.
The mission of Trails & Vistas is to create community by celebrating the arts and nature. The non-profit organization facilitates uniquely creative art events in nature for people of all ages with the goal of promoting an appreciation of the performing and visual arts and environmental stewardship.
