Solaronix Agrees to Provide Sample Test-Firing Service for Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC's Future Customers in Europe

Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC (THT) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Solaronix for the use of its furnace to test-fire samples sent from THT's potential clients.

Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC (THT) today announced that it has signed an agreement with Solaronix, the leading supplier of Dye Solar Cell components and specialty chemicals in Switzerland and one of THT's most important furnace customers, for the use of its furnace to test-fire samples sent from THT's potential clients.

"The toll firing concept is a very good idea to give THT the chance to showcase its furnace and also let us see how our furnace handles at various temperature profiles," said Michael Scott, Ph.D. and Research Scientist at Solaronix. "We look forward to this partnership as it mutually benefits both of us."

Solaronix, a Swiss shareholder company, is located in Aubonne, near Lake Geneva. The company was founded in 1993. It is active in the area of renewable energy, and has a leading position in the development of Dye Solar Cells, a promising photovoltaic technology. In 2009, Solaronix purchased a HSK3505-0711 sintering furnace from THT for its dye sensitized solar cell module pilot line. This furnace features fast thermal response, uniform and stable temperature control and is highly energy efficient. Solaronix now agrees to run temperature profile tests with this furnace on samples sent from THT's prospective customers at a reasonable cost, especially for customers in or around Europe. The HSK series furnace can also be used for thick film, electronic component, ceramics and metals processing applications.

"This toll firing business model not only benefits our potential clients in Europe, but also gives us an opportunity to stay very close to Solaronix and serve their needs," stated THT Marketing Manager Joyce Zhang. "We want to give our sincere thanks to Solaronix for their support and partnership."
