Wine lovers all over the world definitely have different palates and different favorites, however, France is undoubtedly the most famous wine-producing country, and the Beaujolais is its most famous red wine. Each year, on the third Thursday of November, the Beaujolais Nouveau is celebrated by drinking wine from grapes harvested on Beaujolais region of France. Thus, Beaujolais Nouveau parties are held all over France to celebrate the first wine of the season. There are about 120 Beaujolais Nouveau related festivals held in the Beaujolais region alone, and some bottles from the six-week-old crop are also sent to oenophiles around the globe in time to be uncorked for the occasion.
This year the French community in the Philippines headed by the French Chamber of Commerce celebrates this traditional French wine festival through the event Soiree Beaujolais 2011 Paris La Nuit happening at the luxurious Harbor Garden Tent of Sofitel Philippine Plaza on November 17, 2011 at 6pm. French Cancan dancers will be flown from France just for the special occasion to bring to Manila the beauty of "Paris by Night" at this year's much-awaited French social gathering. Enjoy a French buffet dinner and free-flowing Beaujolais Nouveau and other fine wines from the Beaujolais region in France coupled with a wide array of cheeses and charcuterie especially flown in from France.
