Slickwraps Expands Wrap Line for iPhone 6 Release

Accessories company begins presale orders for the newest Apple products, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

As expected, Apple pulled out all of the stops for last week’s media event. With the unveiling of not one but two new smartphones, and the highly-anticipated Apple Watch, accessories companies everywhere are busy preparing for the rush of tech users ready to protect and set their devices apart from all the others. One company in particular: Slickwraps.

With presale orders already in motion, Slickwraps, the Kansas-based skin and case manufacturer, is working around the clock to ensure customers have the style and protection they want, the minute they receive their new Apple devices.

“The new phones are going to be huge for Slickwraps and iPhone 6 Skins and accessories as a whole,” said Slickwraps co-founder Fred Sanchez. “I think there are a lot of people, like me, who have the iPhone 5 and were not eligible for the 5s. So I think there’s going to be, once again, record-breaking upgrades for the iPhone 6.”

Slickwraps has expanded their line of protective wraps to include both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, providing customers with access to all of its popular styles and designs, including but not limited to its Carbon Fiber, Wood, Brushed Metal and Color Series’. Each iPhone 6 plus cover offers buyers full-body protection and with each product both removable and reusable, customers have endless possibilities to mix-and-match colors and styles to create a unique look for their phone.

The accessories company is particularly eager to be working with a brand new, revamped Apple design.

“It’s very exciting for me as one of the head designers here at Slickwraps,” Sanchez said. "It brings me back to my roots, to when I originally designed our first wrap for the iPhone 4.”

The redesigns for the iPhone 6 features a 4.7-inch Retina display, while the 6 Plus boasts an unprecedented phone display size for Apple, measuring in at 5.5 inches. Both phones feature a thin frame with curved edges.

The release of Full Body Wraps is just the beginning of a busy year for Slickwraps. Along with plans to expand their Case line to include the new releases, as well as introduce wraps for the new Apple Watch, the accessories company is expecting several big changes over the coming year.

“Exciting things are happening at Slickwraps,” Sanchez said. “Slickwraps have outgrown our current headquarters and are excited to be moving into a really cool, 100-year-old building in the heart of downtown Wichita.”

Along with the anticipated move, Slickwraps, currently an e-commerce company is looking to open a retail store at their new headquarters. They are also excited to continue to grow and expand further into the accessories industry, starting with the upcoming release of their customizable, minimalist wallet, the Vü.
