Skateboarding, Longboarding Race - a Massive Hit
The eagerly looked forward to event, the Skateboarding and Longboarding downhill car park race, hosted by RAGE and Media One Hotel, was held on December 11 at the Media One Hotel car park in the Media City district of Dubai, just over 1.6 km from the Dubai Marina.
Dubai, December 24, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The eagerly looked forward to event, the Skateboarding and Longboarding downhill car park race, hosted by RAGE and Media One Hotel, was held on December 11 at the Media One Hotel car park in the Media City district of Dubai, just over 1.6 km from the Dubai Marina.
The event, the first of its kind, attracted many skateboarders and longboarders who had a blast, racing almost a one kilometre distance, down three parking levels while simultaneously handling tight corners and speedy opponents at the massive car park of the four star hotel in Dubai. Star attraction was provided to the event by the presence of top international skaters from Darkstar, Zero, Almost and Enjoi.
The demonstrations at the event as well as the refreshments were enjoyed by all those who were present. The event saw a massive prize fund of Dhs10,000 for winners across the junior and senior categories, courtesy of Dubai Desert Extreme Action Sports.
The event was followed by an after-party at Level 8 on The Dek of Media One Hotel. A DJ, graffiti artist and giveaways were among the attractions lined up by RAGE for the Mini Ramp at the hotel car park to enliven the event.
