SiteGround Will Launch Its New European Server Location On Joomla!Days Netherlands

To better serve its existing non-US customers the company plans to start providing a choice of different geographical locations.

SiteGround, a web hosting company targeting Joomla users and managing over 1000 US servers, has recently announced its plan to diversify the geographical location of their shared hosting services. Their first servers outside the USA will be in the Netherlands and the company will officially launch the new location on Joomla!Days Netherlands in the end of April, 2012.

Currently nearly 40% of the SiteGround customers are not from the US, with the biggest number of foreign customers coming from Europe. Searching to increase their share abroad and to provide better services for their existing non-US customers the company plans to start providing a choice of different geographical locations. SiteGround has decided that Amsterdam will be the starting point of their expansion, as one of the biggest European internet hubs is located there, and because of the central position of the city on the continent. To accommodate the needs of their shared hosting costumers from the region SiteGround will hire servers in the Amsterdam data center of SoftLayer Inc.

The choice of the event where the company will officially launch the new location - Joomla!Days Netherlands 2012, comes as no surprise, as SiteGround is known for providing specialized services for Joomla users. They have special Joomla hosting package and free Joomla resources like tutorials, templates and extensions. "We are excited about sponsoring and participating in this amazing Joomla community event." says Lilyana Yakimova, Marketing Manager of SiteGround. "To meet the Dutch Joomla fans in person and present to them our services, now that they are available on servers located in their own country, is a great opportunity." SiteGround will be the Diamond sponsor of the event and its CEO Tenko Nikolov will be one of the event's official speaker.
