Shop For A Cause With Karma411 At Saks Fifth Avenue

On Monday, January 31st Karma411 is hosting a nonprofit event at Saks Fifth Avenue in the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station, New York from 4 to 7pm.

Karma411 honors local volunteers at this Shop For A Cause event where 5% of the proceeds goes towards local charities, and guests receive a one-day 15% off shopping discount. The event will begin with a champagne reception at 4pm after guests have checked in. Around 4:30, the nonprofit organizations will announce their honorees, who will each receive a certificate from Karma411 and a gift bag from Saks Fifth Avenue. From 5pm onward all guests are welcome to shop the entire store, using 15% off shopping coupons for all purchases made. No admission fee is required to attend this event.

The participating nonprofits are Danny's Wish and Long Island Coalition for the Homeless. Danny's Wish was created in honor of Danny, a fun loving boy with Autism. Danny's Wish helps provide life enhancing resources and experiences for kids and families that deal with Autism and Autism related spectrum disorders.

Since 1995, Long Island Coalition for the Homeless has coordinated applications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for homeless funding. LICH's successful coordination of the Continuum of Care applications have resulted in over $101 million in funding for housing and services for Long Island's homeless since 1996.
