Shoe Carnival Partners With Thrive Commerce to Increase In-Store Revenue With Mobile Coupons

Shoe Carnival has successfully launched their first mobile in-store coupon campaign in partnership with Thrive Commerce, a Philadelphia-based promotions technology company as featured in NRF Stores September edition. With Shoe Carnival’s high-intent shoppers growing increasingly savvy and searching extensively online for coupons & promotions, Shoe Carnival promoted exclusive in-store coupons via Thrive’s Apple Wallet Offers.

During the first quarter of 2017, Shoe Carnival tested mobile coupons by distributing them via email as well as hosting them in their on-site Savings Center, which is powered by Thrive. The email contained links to individual coupons that could be printed, emailed, texted or saved to an iPhone via Apple Wallet. The email campaign resulted in 2,245 saves with 38 percent redeemed in one of Shoe Carnival’s 411 stores. “It was an amazing percentage. When we saw the first results, we knew we wanted to continue using Thrive’s Apple Wallet Offers,” said Shoe Carnival’s Vice President of Digital, Kent Zimmerman.

This campaign proves that mobile coupons drive shoppers from their phones to shop in-store, where they typically spend more, which we've been excited to test with many of our other clients.
