Shawn Rice Joins MTM Transit as Director, Regional Sales

Shawn Rice

MTM Transit recently welcomed a new addition to its strategic sales team: Director, Regional Sales Shawn Rice. Shawn, a results-driven leader with a long-term history of success in partnering with transit agencies to solve their most complex challenges, will work with MTM Transit's executive leadership team to identify, pursue, and acquire new business through competitive bidding opportunities and organic growth.

Shawn brings to MTM Transit nearly 10 years of experience forging strong relationships with transit agencies and delivering successful outcomes. He began his transit career in 2014 at the Chicago Transit Authority, where he led a team of business analysts and project coordinators supporting the implementation of an ambitious software system. He also spent six years at Trapeze Software Group. While at Trapeze, he developed and implemented the organization's partner channel growth strategy, delivering nearly $10 million in revenue growth in under two years. Most recently, he served as Director, Business Development and Partner Strategy at UZURV, an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) rideshare service, where he led the organization's RFP strategy. Shawn earned his degree in business administration from Loyola University, and is a member of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), the transportation industry's leading national advocate for employment diversity, inclusion, and contracting opportunities.

"Shawn is an exciting addition to the MTM Transit team," said Chief Operating Officer Brian Balogh. "His expertise and incredibly diverse background in the industry—from large-scale public transit operations in Chicago to rideshare startups like UZURV—will aid us in building upon MTM Transit's reputation of collaboration and partnership with both new and existing clients. We look forward to growing with our partners nationwide under Shawn's efforts."
