September Sizzles In Laguna Beach's HIP District

Online, August 25, 2010 (Newswire.com) - A trip to Laguna Beach is not complete without a tour through the HIP District, where both locals and tourists find the best shopping, dining, art and accommodations in town. The HIP District is located South on Pacific Coast Highway between the streets of Anita and Bluebird Canyon.

The event starts at 5PM, but they will be selling tickets up to the start of the event, so arrive early.
The Laguna Nursery has a lot planned for September, from Garden Walks to a 3rd Anniversary party. The Garden Walks are always led by Ruben Flores, horticulturalist and nursery owner, and start from the nursery at 10AM. On September 11th, explore the grand gardens of Victoria Beach; September 19th focuses on the breathtaking views and gardens of Top of the World; and stroll the quiet streets of Harmony Hollow, Laguna's "bad-boy" area, on September 25th.
On September 18th, the anniversary festivities begin at the Culinary Arts Center in Laguna Canyon for the herb/culinary class, then back to the nursery for seminars that alternate every other hour starting from 12 noon. The first is on herb and vegetable gardening for the fall, and the second is on tropical treasures that flourish in Laguna, the third on how to light your garden. The real party starts at 6PM with drinks, food, music and fun! Call for reservations as there are a limited number of tickets available for the party.
The Cove Gallery welcomes new guest artists in September: Plein-Air artist Gobind Boyd, from Long Beach; and sculptor Berry You, from Upland. The reception for both artists will be during the First Thursday/Artwalk on September 2nd. The Artist Eye Gallery will also hold a reception at First Thursday/Artwalk for Plein-Air artist Richard Rice from 6-9PM. Rice's award-winning paintings will be on display during the entire month of September.
