SecureNet CEO Brent Warrington to Speak at Money2020 with Esteemed Panel

Excerpts from MCPS, Schwan's, BigCommerce and First Annapolis will share perspectives on changing definitions and risks of Card Present and Card Not Present Transactions

Brent Warrington, CEO of SecureNet Payment Systems and a leader in the payments technology space, will speak at Money 2020 2013, the highly regarded commerce event at the intersection of payments, retail, mobile, marketing services, data and technology. The conference will be held October 6 - 10, 2013 at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. This year's conference features more than 300 CEOs representing 1,250 companies in 50 countries, and more than 4,000 industry professionals are expected to attend.

Warrington will lead a panel session from 10:40-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, entitled, "Omnichannel Payments: The Movement Away from Card Present & Card Not Present." He will be joined by the following merchant and service providers that will bring unique viewpoints to the discussion:

• Jill Amundson, Sr. Manager- Order to Cash, Schwan's Home Service, Inc.

• Robert Alvarez, CFO, Bigcommerce

• Charles Marc Abbey, Managing Partner, First Annapolis

• Todd Linden, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at MCPS

Warrington and the panel of experts will take a look at one of the year's pressing questions:

What is the distinction between "card present" and "card not present?" Until recently, the answer was simply whether merchants had a plastic card physically in front of them or not. In today's cloud-based world, these are now antiquated terms. Mobile wallets and other omnichannel retail experiences have raised questions about what defines a physical presence and the importance of the risk of a transaction. This session answers these questions from merchant and service provider perspectives.

"It's critical for payment processors and merchants to both consider how the omnichannel revolution is affecting the way merchants define payments and the associated risks of transactions in a cloud-based environment," said Warrington. "SecureNet is fortunate to have such a strong network of innovative partners that are willing to share their experiences and perspectives."
