SearchBliss has just launched it's latest SEO tool, the Harmful Links Checker, out of BETA. This free online tool simply takes a given URL and scans the website checking for outbound links that may be harmful to the website's standing with search engines. Major search engines are synonymously known for penalizing websites that contain questionable links to other websites. The Harmful Links Checker takes the guesswork for webmasters out of the equation, fast and with ease.

"I was amazed by how many webmasters I'd come in contact with through forums who sites disappeared from Google's search results", says SearchBliss' CEO John Kline. "After reviewing their sites, I found a majority of them contained 'spammy' links with questionable anchor text, which inspired the development of this tool." Kline knows that other factors may have also played a part in the drop in search positions of these sites, but finding a common factor was a positive step toward a solution. "I'm aware that some webmasters partake in what they call black hat techniques, but many hadn't, and it appeared to be mainly the 'bad' links", says Kline.
