Hood River, Oregon, November 2, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Blue Collar Agency has partnered with Double Mountain Brewery, Doug's Sports, Shortt Supply, and the Oregon Nordic Club to host a fundraiser for the iconic Tilly Jane A-Frame. The event will take place at Double Mountain Brewery in Hood River, OR on Thursday, November 10 at 6:30pm.
The Tilly Jane A-Frame isn’t widely known outside of the outdoor community, but among those that have experienced it first hand, it’s loved something fierce. The humble cabin is nestled into the north shoulder of Mt. Hood and has been used as a refuge for winter skiers and a summertime getaway for friends and families since it was first built in 1939. In 2011, cabin operations were taken over by the all-volunteer Portland chapter of the Oregon Nordic Club (ONC). One of their main goals is upkeep so that generations to come can enjoy the backcountry of Mt. Hood.
So far, $98,778 has been raised, a portion of which was achieved at the September 15 event at Base Camp Brewing in Portland, Oregon. There were almost 400 attendees and the pint glasses and t-shirts sold out. There was a great response to raffle tickets and silent auction items. Even so, there is $114,222 to go.
The blunt truth: Tilly Jane is at a critical juncture. Though its four walls only measure 28x42, Tilly Jane represents so much more. Now is our chance to give back and leave a legacy. Please join us to help #SaveTillyJane.
