The Samriddhi club of Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will be hosting its much anticipated National Level B School meet on its Sanquelim Campus between the 23rd and 25th of August. The theme of Samriddhi 2014 is "Game Changers" and the event will bring together many well-known leaders of industry who have changed the game in their respective fields. It's also an opportunity for future Game Changers from the institute to display their potential and take advantage of a tremendous learning experience.

Samriddhi means prosperity and the event itself has a rich seven year history. In the past, the event has drawn some big names from a wide range of industries, and this year will be no different. Renowned individuals, including Mr. Siddhant Vats, Mr. Taufiq Qureshi, Ms Nandini Vaidyanathan and Mr Nikhil D' Souza, have been confirmed for the event already. They will be a big attraction for B School students who come to attend Samridhhi from all over the country.

Today, the corporate world is not merely looking for employees but performers who can go on to be game changers in their own right with their spirit of learning, innovation and enterprise. There is a need for those who think out of the box and possess that "X Factor." That's one of the major aims of Samriddhi 2014: to help students discover their own "X Factor" and become aware of how to use it in the business world. And, that will probably be achieved through some specially designed activities alongside the opportunity to learn from the best in the business.

Over the years, the activities that have become an integral part of this event have gained huge popularity amongst students. One of these activities is of course AD-NEETI, which tests guerrilla marketing strategies of participants. They have to design a guerrilla advertisement and place it an appropriate location on the campus to test its effectiveness. RAN-NEETI is an activity where financial concepts are put to the test in real-world simulations. CHAKRAVYUH, on the other hand, is a general quiz about the changing Indian perspective.

The competition is highly intense for these events as all participants want to display their talents on a National platform and make their respective B Schools proud. MARK-A-SALE, as the name suggests, is all about building winning sales strategies while BEER GAME is a simulation role playing game that helps students understand typical coordination problems in a supply chain. REPOSITIONING INDIA, the fun filled General Management event, and ROOPANTAR, the exciting HR event, complete the line-up of highly engaging and enriching activities for students.

While these activities lead to a lot of fun for participants and build on their competitive spirit, the event on the whole aims to look at the bigger picture. As Faisal Rashid, one of the student organizers of the event says, "Samriddhi is unlike any other B-School Fest because it's not just about winning National Level Business Events. Through its themes, Samriddhi has managed to get answers to the issues plaguing India from some of the most eloquent and accomplished speakers in our country." Samriddhi lives by its name and strives hard to address questions and seek answers about making India more prosperous.
