SafeCardID.com Adds Datacard to its Photo ID Printer Line of Products

SafeCardID.com adds Datacard printer to its online selection of products including a photo id printer lineup. The new Datacard printer will help companies, large and small, with the in-house production of employee photo ID badges, and reducing costs.

Safe Card ID, a national online retailer of employee photo security badges and other ID products is announcing its expanded photo ID printer line, which includes several Datacard printer models.

The Datacard printer model SP55 Plus will allow users to select from single or double sided printing. Full color ID badges can be printed from edge to edge with dye sublimation quality. Monochrome ribbons are also available for quick printing jobs. To speed up the process the SP55 Plus model allows user to load card in its hopper and perform other functions while it prints and automatically feeds badges.

The Datacard SP55 also comes with the following features and optional extras: smart card personalization, magnetic stripe encoding, upgrades for magnetic stripe and smart card fields, empty hopper detection, security locking, networking, backlit LCD display, and clear card personalization.

The photo ID printer line of identification security badges offer custom printed PVC cards that print on a standardized card the size of a typical state issued driver's license, state issued ID, or credit card. Photo ID cards measure 3.375 inches by 2.125 inches, and standard cards are approximately 30 mm to 40 mm thick. Most printers will accommodate PVC cards of any thickness. The normal thickness of the card is 30 ml, although most ID card printers can print a variety of thicknesses, ranging from 10 ml to 40 ml thick.

Using in-house photo ID printer equipment to print personnel badges can be a boon to small businesses, helping them save money and time while making sure that ID security programs run smoothly. Security consultants have concluded that businesses that require their employees to wear experience reduced rates of internal fraud, unauthorized access to private and sensitive client information, and unauthorized clearance to areas requiring high-level clearance status.

Employee identity badges enhance business security options, and they continue to grow in popularity for small businesses and large corporations. They help to make security monitoring function smoothly and efficiently for professional staff and security guards. Cards can be used to limit access to dangerous areas on the factory floor, in laboratories, and in other areas where hazardous chemicals or confidential documents are stored.
