SAE Institute Bites the Dust With Case Against Abbey Road Institute
Amsterdam, January 25, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Abbey Road Institute can fully focus on their upcoming expansion again after the French Court declined the accusations asserting unfair competition, which was submitted by SAE Institute in October 2015 against the French Campus.
SAE had brought the case after Abbey Road Institute opened their 4th European location in the famous Omega studio in Paris some months ago. SAE Institute claimed that their former employees, whom resigned and started working for Abbey Road Institute France afterwards, caused their decline of student numbers.
Abbey Road Institute offers vocational training in music and audio production and has a more practical focus, using highly equipped studios.
SAE accused the former employees of copying work files and lesson material and, therefore, embezzled part of their turnover. However, the lesson methodology of Abbey Road Institute is different from SAE, which was acknowledged by the French Court.
Jean-Philippe Boisson, Managing Director Abbey Road Institute France: “We have a different approach than SAE. There is no reason for us to retrieve information from our previous employer. Since a couple of years, they [SAE] are putting more emphasis on their visual courses and higher education. There is no direct competition”. Abbey Road Institute offers vocational training in music and audio production and has a more practical focus, using highly equipped studios.
With their head office in London and six schools abroad, Abbey Road Institute is rapidly expanding. They offer Music Production programs that concentrate on three main areas: music production, sound engineering and music business. The Advanced diploma course is designed by the industry using a unique teaching method called Progressive Continuous Learning. Modules are broken down into short subjects and delivered in a progressive logical manner, combining theory and practice. This approach differs from more traditional styles of teaching that provide programmes via self-contained, isolated modules.
This year, Abbey Road Institute is planning to open more campuses in several locations.
