Ryan and Melissa Crossett Launch Their New Website

Online, July 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Ryan and Melissa Crossett wanted something different than the typical American life. They've seen plenty of that, but have chosen a different path; a different approach to life. The Crossetts say, "we wanted to spend our lives giving back instead of trying to get ahead." So, they set out to Asia to pursue a different kind of life.

They have been involved in community development projects and providing job training for qualified Asians over the past three years. Ryan and Melissa have done English language teaching for Thai people who need English for their jobs. They have also done some relief work among the rural Thai, and currently work for a Development Foundation that engages in a broad spectrum of development and humanitarian projects. Melissa Crossett trained as a nurse at Lakeshore Technical college and hopes to help her family and others with her passion for health and nutrition. She works along side her husband in pursuing community development and humanitarian projects.

Ryan Crossett says, "The most important thing about doing community development work, is to line up with the desires of the community. We don't want to bring our pre-packaged ideas to the community and insist that someone needs what we've got. Instead, we find out from them what would best advance their community."
