Ruben Navarrette Joins VOXXI To Provide Exclusive Weekly Columns To Boost 2012 Elections Coverage

VOXXI is the premier site for news, analysis and commentary with a Hispanic focus.

VOXXI, the premier site for news, analysis and commentary with a Hispanic focus, today announced that Ruben Navarrette will write an exclusive weekly political column for VOXXI debuting today. Navarrette's announcement is part of VOXXI's overall plan to boost political coverage of the Presidential Elections, taking place in November 2012.

Navarrette is a nationally-syndicated columnist with The Washington Post Writers Group. He is also a weekly commentator on National Public Radio's (NPR) "Tell Me More w/ Michel Martin" and contributes weekly commentary to CNN.com.

"We are committed to providing political news and bold commentary on the issues that are of most important to our community. VOXXI's mission is to cover these issues from a Latino perspective, elevating the conversation about jobs, economy, immigration, and more," said Emilio C. Sanchez, President & CEO, VOXXI. "We are fortunate to have Ruben on board because he is the most well-known and respected Latino analyst in the country. He is a great asset to VOXXI."

In recognizing the critical stakes of this year's election, VOXXI's election coverage will benefit from a national network of writers and bloggers focused on issues of importance to Hispanics. With up to 12 million Hispanics projected to vote in the November election, a 26 percent increase over the 2008 figure, the Latino vote plays a bigger role than ever before.

VOXXI is a young and fast growing site for Hispanics. In just a few months, the start-up has earned a reputation for providing top quality, original content and built an impressive team of journalists, editors, bloggers and columnists across the country.

"VOXXI is exactly what was needed at this point in history," said Navarrette. "At a time when we Americans, especially, we Latinos, need to hold both parties accountable and force politicians to earn our support, a site like VOXXI is leading the charge and providing a platform for an open exchange of ideas, share differing opinions and question the status quo."
