Rodney Lough Jr., world-renowned Master Landscape Photographer hosted the grand opening of his newest gallery in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco on Sat. August 6, 2011. The event began with a blessing ceremony performed by native Aztec dance troop - Mixcoatl. The performance was followed by proclamations from San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee and California State Senator Leland Yee where they each presented Rodney with certificates of honor. Palo Alto Mayor Sidney Espinosa also made an appearance on the red carpet to congratulate Rodney on his accomplishment of opening San Francisco's newest and largest single artist photography gallery.

Working in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of SF Bay, the grand opening event raised money for the charity and promoted their new academic initiative "Full STEAM Ahead". The program aims to reduce the academic achievement gap in schools by integrating the Arts into the well-known STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Rodney unveiled his newest image then auctioned off Artist Proof 1/50 to support the cause. A portion of proceeds from event sales went to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of SF Bay.

The event was very successful as hundreds of collectors, locals and tourists filled the huge 14,000 sq. ft. gallery throughout the evening. The new Rodney Lough Jr. Gallery is located at One Jefferson Street in the international tourist hub of Fisherman's Wharf. This beautiful gallery is sure to provide the artist exposure to new audiences around the world and become a landmark destination unto itself.
