Rocky Horror Celebrates 40 Years in Victoria
Kaleidoscope Theatre invites audiences to celebrate 40 years of the world's most beloved rock n' roll musical with The Rocky Horror Show time-warping into the McPherson Playhouse this Halloween.
Online, October 14, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Follow squeaky-clean sweethearts Janet Weiss (Sarah Anne Murphy) and Brad Majors (Pat Rundell) on an adventure they'll never forget. After running into car troubles, newly engaged Brad and Janet seek help at the site of light down the road. Little do they know it's coming from the place where Dr. Frank N Furter (Griffin Lea) is in the midst of his maniacal experiments.
Get ready for a night of fun and frivolity in this thrilling production of Richard O'Brien's classic directed by Roderick Glanville with music direction by Yanik Giroux and choreography by Bryony Blake. Bursting at the seams with timeless classics, including "Sweet Transvestite", "Damn it Janet", and of course, the pelvic-thrusting "Time Warp", The Rocky Horror Show promises to be a non-stop party. This audience-participation production encourages Rocky Horror fans to get involved through call backs and use of special props bags available for purchase before each performance.
The all-star cast of 31 of local artists includes Ride The Cyclone's Kelly Hudson as Riff Raff, Candace Woodland as Columbia, & Tich Wilson as Magenta.
The company hopes to raise a much needed $50,000. All funds raised will support Kaleidoscope Theatre's programming, helping to create original, innovative, relevant theatre experiences that stimulate and inspire young people and their communities.
Ready to thrill you with its frivolous fun, The Rocky Horror Show promises to be the boldest benefit in support of Kaleidoscope Theatre. Sharpen your stilettos for the rockiest ride of your life!
