Robert Balentine Named Eagle Class Honoree
Online, August 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America has named Robert Balentine the 2012 Eagle Scout Class Honoree. Robert received his Eagle Scout award in 1973 as a member of troop 298 and is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Balentine , an independent, employee-owned investment management firm in Atlanta.
The 2012 Eagle Scout class is made up of the 546 Atlanta-area young men who earned the rank of Eagle Scout during the past year. 2012 marks the centennial of the rank of Eagle Scout within the Boy Scouts of America. In the last 100 years, this achievement is so rare that only 2% of Scouts ever earn it.
"The lessons I learned as an Eagle Scout stay with me today and have guided me throughout my personal life and business career," said Robert Balentine . "It is a great privilege to be named the 2012 Eagle Scout Class Honoree, and I am humbled and honored to represent the 546 young men who earned the rank of Eagle Scout last year."
Balentine and the 2012 Eagle Scout Class were recognized at the 2012 Eagle Scout Recognition Ceremony on August 12, 2012 at the Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta.
