Rivvid Video Trivia Games is hosting their first Making Waves event on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sandbox Fitness in Sherman Oaks. This summer event, called Making Waves, will focus on empowering kids to make a difference in their community.
Sherman Oaks, CA, May 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Rivvid Video Trivia Games is hosting their first Making Waves event on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Sandbox Fitness in Sherman Oaks. This summer event, called Making Waves, will focus on empowering kids to make a difference in their community. It will include indoor surfing contests and a live video trivia game about visionaries who have made a positive impact. Participants will be encouraged to commit to one goal over the summer to help others and can win cash prizes for the charity of their choice. Each child attending this event will receive a summer fun pack and snacks will be provided.
Valeska I. Jacques, Co-Founder of Rivvid and Dr. Andy Mars, Director of Kids Make A Difference, will be guest speakers at the event. Rivvid is a powerful educational platform that melds the fun of gaming and video with critical learning skills such as awareness, retention and quick thinking. Kids who submit their charitable accomplishments by August 1, 2015 will be nominated for a Making Waves achievement award. The awards will be announced mid August. Winners will choose a non-profit organization they wish to donate the proceeds to. The prizes are: First place $300, Second place $200, Third place $100.
