Ride Honors Tampa's Fallen Heroes

"Ride Because We Care" to honor Tampa's fallen heroes who gave their lives in the line of duty.

(Tampa, FL) - On Sunday, July 18, 2010, come out to honor Tampa Police Department's fallen Officer's David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

The LAMA Tampa (Latin American Motorcycle Association) and Born To Ride invite the biker community to join us for the "Ride Because We Care."

The ride leaves at 12:00 p.m. from LAMA Tampa Club House 5019 Denver Street Tampa, FL 33619 and will continue to the Fallen Officers' Memorial at Tampa Police Department headquarters.

The donation is $20, to be collected by appointed Tampa PBA (Police Benevolent Association) members. All contributions will go to Tampa PBA Charity Fund; 100% of the proceeds will go to the families of Officer's David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab.

Rick Cochran of the Tampa PBA has been very pleased with the effort from the community, "It has been very humbling with all the ways that citizens and community groups have volunteered to raise money for the families of David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab. The fact that this Sunday's motorcycle ride will end at our monument is awesome!"

Ronnie Galletti of "Born To Ride TV" was quite emotional when he said, "We are talking about two men who protected our community. I am proud to be part of this event to raise money for the families of Police Officers Jeffrey Kocab and David Curtis, and to show law enforcement that motorcyclists in our community care and want to help."

Equally as sincere is Johnny Urrutia, President of the LAMA Tampa, "I love to ride and I love the freedom to do so. I support our Armed forces personnel who are overseas at war, and like most people, I tend to focus on them and not think at times about our police who are beating the streets protecting those same freedoms. Everyone who can ride on Sunday needs to come out and raise money for the families of officers Jeffrey Kocab and David Curtis."

We are looking for everyone's support. For more information call Johnny Urrutia 813-299-4482 or Ron Galletti 813-661-9402
