Return on Change Launches Contest to Fund 'Game Changing' Start-ups

Socially conscious start-ups given chance to win one of three $1,000 cash prizes

Crowdfunding innovator Return on Change, LLC (RoC) today announced a contest that provides incentives for startups to register and win funds. The first 50 startups to post their business plans to the RoC website by June 30, 2012 will have the opportunity to win one of three $1,000 cash prizes.

"One of the most difficult first steps for any entrepreneur is to find seed capital to get their venture off the ground," said Sang Lee, founder of Return on Change. "Our platform will give startups looking to make an impact on the world the opportunity to find that funding, and we're excited to give three of them a head start."

In addition, the top 50 qualified startups chosen by Return on Change will receive free placement on the RoC platform, with no posting fees collected upon reaching their funding goal. While startups can win cash prizes, potential investors also have the opportunity to register on the RoC site for an exclusive invitation to connect with the winning startups and receive a sneak preview of the site before the official launch. During the platform's beta launch, registered investors will be able to view the profiles of several specially selected startups that meet RoC's "high impact"criteria. "From experienced investors to those who are just beginning, Return on Change is focused on making the investment process both engaging and accessible", added Lee.

The winners will be chosen by the Return on Change team, whose mission is to provide a platform to connect investors with high impact, socially conscious startups in the areas of clean tech, bio/medical tech, web technology and social ventures.
