Republican National Committeewoman Borah Van Dormolen of Texas Endorses Felicia Harris For Texas 14th District US House Seat

Texas National Committeewoman for the Republican National Committee (RNC) Borah Van Dormolen today endorsed Felicia Harris in the runoff primary for the 14th Congressional District of Texas.

Texas National Committeewoman for the Republican National Committee (RNC) Borah Van Dormolen today endorsed Felicia Harris in the runoff primary for the 14th Congressional District of Texas. Felicia Harris is a Constitutional Conservative running on the issues of lowering taxes, eliminating wasteful spending and repealing ObamaCare.

"I fully support Felicia Harris in Texas' 14th Congressional District. She is the right person to represent the district because she is a rock solid conservative who will bring her values of hard work, less government and a complete rejection of tax increases to Congress. Felicia Harris is the most promising candidate to beat the Democrat opponent while keeping the Republican majority strong in the United States House of Representatives," explains Borah Van Dormolen RNC National Committeewoman for Texas.

National Committeewoman Van Dormolen goes on to explain, "Sending Felicia to Washington to join Congresswoman Kay Granger, as the only other woman in the Texas Republican Delegation, would be a solid step forward in addressing the underrepresentation of women in Congress. Today, women hold only 16% of the seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, yet women are 50.8% of the population according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Electing conservative women helps puts an end to the left-leaning bias that most women are liberal and vote for Democrats. This is not the case and I know Felicia Harris can go head-to-head with Democratic National Congressional Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz so that all women's voices are heard in Congress."

"It is an honor to be endorsed by Texas Republican National Committeewoman Borah Van Dormolen for this important runoff primary. Borah's reputation for supporting the party and bringing Republicans together so we win general elections is legendary. Her focus on this race shows the strategic importance of sending a bold leader to Washington that will reflect the 14th district's conservatism, diversity and domestic energy based growth. It is an honor to fulfill this role and I will work tirelessly with voters to earn this election," states Felicia Harris, candidate for Congress.

Felicia Harris goes on to say, "As a consistent conservative, I am committed to keeping the American Dream alive for Texans with pro-growth economic policies that reward hard work and promote domestic energy, secure our borders and utterly reject tax increases."

RNC National Committeewoman for Texas Borah Van Dormolen notes, "the federal courts have messed with Texas and scheduled this election in the dead heat of summer. We have to send a message that we will not neglect our right to elect our own leaders. I urge my fellow Republicans in the 14th Congressional District to stand up and be counted for Felicia Harris on July 31st."

Felicia Harris has been endorsed by numerous elected officials as part of the primary process including:
• Congresswoman Kay Granger (TX 12)
• Congressman Ted Poe (TX 2)
• Congressman Pete Olson (TX 22)
• Congressman Bill Flores (TX 17)
• Congressman Jeb Hensarling (TX 5)

• Mayor Ken and Sharon Corley, City of Brazoria
• Councilman Marcus Rabren, Brazoria
• Alderman Bob Eastman, Surfside

Texas' 14th Congressional District is an open seat following the retirement of Congressman Ron Paul (R). This is the first time in Texas history that a primary has been held in July.
