Rentivo's Crowdfunding Aims to Be at the Forefront of the Home-Rental Direct Booking War

​​Rentivo (rentivo.com), a holiday rental booking management and payment provider, launched its crowdfunding campaign (crowdcube.com/rentivo) a week ago and has already raised close to 50% of its target.

Rentivo aims to be at the forefront of the home-rental direct booking war caused by the disruption of listing sites morphing into online travel agents (OTA’s) like Airbnb, HomeAway and TripAdvisor. Rentivo is leveraging significant industry growth ($120bn+) and the desire of hosts, homeowners & managers to seek more direct channels to market.

This market has literally exploded over the last 5 years and caused mayhem at grassroots level. This has opened up significant opportunities harnessing anything from 'book online' websites and intelligent marketing to payments and reservation management.

This is significantly more important for vacation rentals than hotels because the microeconomics of millions of small businesses doesn’t allow for substantial commissions on every booking. Also, increasing guest service fees are forcing consumers to search for the best price, which is direct.

Rentivo has an estimated 300% growth rate in 2017, with payment processing reaching over £2.5m in the first year. It’s privately owned, self-funded, debt free and holds all IP rights. The launch of its Shopify style web builder and interest from collaborative and niche listing sites have accelerated growth. Additionally, Rentivo’s guest re-marketing products and FX payments will see increased traction and revenue streams in 2017.
