Red Mountain Consulting Associates Dominate at Conference

Some of the Red Mountain Consulting team members recently returned from a successful leadership conference. Joe, the firm's director of operations, indicated that proper preparation allowed them to take full advantage of the event.

For the branding specialists at Red Mountain Consulting, continual learning is a way of life. Leadership invests heavily in helping team members develop skills and confidence through workshops, inter-office trainings, and sometimes conferences. Joe stated that this mix of learning allows them to progress quickly.

“We have found that using varied training methods helps us get the best results,” he continued. “Certainly, conferences are the most exciting options, though. Some of our associates just returned from one full of new ideas and energy. They had the opportunity to learn from some of the foremost experts in our field.”

Another benefit Red Mountain Consulting’s team has garnered from conference attendance is inspiration for new content. In today’s business world, the ability to share top-quality content is essential. Conferences are great sources of new ideas and strategies for the sales and marketing firm.

“Of course, sharing is also important at conferences,” Joe continued. “This recent one gave my team members a great chance to discuss their own ideas with others. Not only does this allow them to get feedback from their peers, it also increases their prominence in the industry. Truly, these events are extremely valuable to us.”

Red Mountain Consulting’s Director Discusses Networking

Joe asserted that networking is truly essential for gaining the most from any conference or event. He has been training the Red Mountain Consulting team to be experts at relationship building. For example, he has instructed them to avoid networking with specific gains in mind. Instead, he suggests that they simply aim to meet and get to know others.

“Typically, people can tell when you want something,” Joe explained. “It’s best not to have a particular objective in mind. Instead, just be friendly and get to know people. Ask them for advice, compliment them on presentations they gave, or discuss the conference so far. Each of these conversation starters can lead to really great results and long-term friendship.”

He also recommended staying at the hotels where the conferences are held and attending any official social events. Simply being present like this makes networking easier. Another tip Joe shared is to practice quick self-introduction. People don’t necessarily want to sit through long explanations of a new acquaintance’s work, so making that spiel short and succinct is essential.

“Confidence is the other key,” Joe concluded. “Everyone likes people who are sure of themselves, even though self-assurance does take some work. Fortunately, everyone can be a great networker with a bit of effort!”
