Red Alert Group To Launch Global Television Safety and Security News Network
Online, February 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Red Alert Group, Inc., a security consultancy with its own private intelligence network, announced that the firm will launch Red Alert Media Matrix - RAMM - a 24 hour, global television network delivering news and information on safety and security.
Applying Red Alert Group's Daily Threat Matrix to news programming, RAMM will offer a unique perspective, expose imminent dangers, and provide warnings with instructions to protect people and property. "Just like governments want information for actionable intelligence, people need timely information to take intelligent action for their safety and security," said Timothy Holly, Red Alert's Chairman and CEO.
Network operations will be headquartered in Atlanta, with content and studio productions in Washington, D.C., and news bureau feeds from in 20 cities around the world. RAMM's original programming will use multiple delivery platforms. In the U.S., it will be available on local television in major cities, including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, and Seattle. These markets represent populations reaching over 60 million people. Globally, RAMM's programs will be available on IPTV and mobile.
"Our AT&T content delivery partnership allows us to reach our global target audience for Internet delivery and video-on-demand, plus it puts our unique apps for Apple, Android, BlackBerry, Windows and several futuristic mobile devices in people's hands right now," says Holly. Though programming will be in English, both webcasts and mobile content will have real-time, viewer-selected instant translations in up to 23 languages.
It is important to note that "the RAMM concept was initially developed with Red Alert Group shareholder and advisory board member, Robert Wussler," boasts Holly. For those unfamiliar, Robert J. Wussler was President of the CBS Television Network, Chairman of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, head of ABC Affiliate Enterprises, and with Ted Turner, co-founded CNN. He died in June 2010.
Princess Wilkes, a 22-year global television news veteran, with over a decade as a Senior Producer for CNN, will preside over the daily operations of RAMM. "Robert launched CNN in June 1980," says Ms. Wilkes. "In June 2012, we will launch RAMM and strive to honor his standards of excellence to achieve success."
