Raymond Kuate vs. the Toronto-Dominion Bank Case #: 15-66988

Ottawa, Ontario, February 25, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Ottawa, Ontario, February 24, 2016 (Newswire) -Handicap and minority owned business Vertamin Inc. announced today that a lawsuit against TD bank was filed On December 24, 2015, at The Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Ottawa.

Vertamin Inc.  and Its CEO Raymond Kuate alleged in the lawsuit that all was going well when TD Bank decided in 2014, without warning and contrary to its stated intention, to call in its $1 million line of credit, and the related guaranty with a demand that all sum be paid immediately by both the corporation (Vertamin Inc.) and the guarantor (Raymond Kuate).

It will show that no bank, no matter its size or power should be allowed to prey on a business, ending its viability in one fell swoop and without reasonable time to pay back, not in accordance with the law, but simply because they can.

Furthermore, the company officers charged in the lawsuit that despite the requirement by the Supreme Court of Canada that reasonable delay to pay be granted even in worse situations, TD Bank’s sudden demand caused the company to file for bankruptcy protection which led to its bankruptcy on Christmas Eve 2014.

The court documents state that at the time of TD’s demand, Vertamin Inc. was under the leadership of its CEO Raymond Kuate who obtained an MBA from Columbia University and another from the University of California Berkeley before creating the successful online video advertising network company.
