Ramadar - A Ramadan Calendar developed specifically for the Muslim community

"We have come up with the initial idea, but the customers were designing the final product. It is visible on the Ramadan Calendar that every element of it, let it be design or functional, is actually designed by children and their parents"

A Ramadan Calendar developed specifically for the Muslim community to count-down the days of Ramadan ending with Eid Al-Fitr. In contrast to the Advent Calendar, the Ramadar does not have numbers printed on it - instead on each door printed a name of a Surah from the Quran (the Quran has 114 chapters called Surahs), not only that, the order of the doors are mixed up. In order to open the right door one must know the right order of the Surahs. For example on day 15 of the Ramadan, one will open the door with "Hijr الحج", which is Surah 15 from the Quran.
Behind the idea is PURADO which has a patent pending on the Ramadar. PURADO developed the Ramadar after a survey concluding that the existing Ramadan Calendars lack both fun and educational elements which are important for Muslim families living in Europe.
"We have come up with the initial idea, but the customers were designing the final product. It is visible on the Ramadan Calendar that every element of it, let it be design or functional, is actually designed by children and their parents", says Mr. Purado the owner of PURADO. "The Muslim community in Europe is highly diverse with different origins and languages, that is why I find it astonishing that the results of the survey were unanimous - we do not need an Advent Calendar copy, but a unique Ramdan Calendar that is a fun play for children and support the knowledge transfer which is vital in European Islam."
