R. Wayne Shute and Jonathan W. Shute's New Book 'Lost and Found' is an Insightful Read on Human Morality and Ethics That Have Deviated Throughout Time

Recent release 'Lost and Found' from Covenant Books authors R. Wayne Shute and Jonathan W. Shute is a well-conceived opus that imparts points on how to reroute humanity back toward the basic principles of moral and intellectual soundness.

R. Wayne Shute, an assistant dean in the Division of Continuing Education at BYU, dean of students at BYU Hawaii, and professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations in the David O. McKay School of Education; and Jonathan W. Shute, an assistant professor in the School of Education at Brigham Young University Hawaii, an educator in public and private elementary and secondary schools, have completed their new book, “Lost and Found”: a potent account that tackles the prevalent moral and intellectual crises of the society, as well as presents insights that reinforce the significance of proper learning to restore the lost virtues.

The authors share, “Although an upbeat and positive novel, this book has a timeless message: during part of the nineteenth century and throughout the entire twentieth century, a perceptible shift of values occurred in the West, particularly in the United States. This shift has created a present-day tragic intellectual and moral crisis for all of us, especially our children.

This book takes us on a journey to recover research-based, time-tested, and powerful teaching and learning principles. While on the journey, our hero teachers, Jack Edwards and Emily Lopez, explore why our schools have lost these proven principles of teaching and learning. And in the process, they find those principles that must be restored in order for children to thrive intellectually and morally in our educational systems.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, R. Wayne Shute and Jonathan W. Shute’s new book resoundingly reminds readers of the importance of beginning with the youth in imparting standpoints that hope to rehabilitate their education.

This book also explores the idea of understanding the societal dilemmas to further discern the needed reinstitution of morality in the hearts and minds of individuals.

Readers can purchase “Lost and Found” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
