Quick Ride Partnering With Enterprises to Promote Green Commuting Initiative to Counter Bengaluru Traffic Congestion

With ever increasing need for flexible work timings, more employees prefer to use personal vehicles for commuting - leading to more traffic congestion and ever increasing parking space demand.

There is a need for a solution that can dynamically connect employees moving in the same direction, at the same time – with low overhead for connection, co-ordination, communication and cost sharing. Traditional carpooling fails to rise to the occasion as it has too many constraints on participants. This is where fully flexible and end-to-end automated ride-sharing – made a reality by Quick Ride, a mobile app based platform with 4 layered security, real time matches, cashless payments and a host of advanced features – comes into the picture. Ride-sharing can even be restricted to within the company only.

Marketing Head, Subhro B Chakraborty, mentions Quick Ride is a revolutionary product which is getting encouraging response – with more than 9000 users on board in Bangalore and NCR. The target is to reach a 1 Lakh user base by the end of the year in key markets.

Co-Founder, Shobhana said “Quick Ride team gives high importance for technology and analytics. User experience is superior to other ride sharing platforms”

Founder KNM Rao says “Our ultimate goal is to create a ‘Cloud of Wheels’ where anyone can transparently, safely and seamlessly share their vehicle with others – so that precious resources are utilized in the best possible way.

KNM added that the response from various companies is very encouraging. To increase awareness, Quick Ride in collaboration with enterprises, started green commuting campaign among employees of large corporates of major office locations and tech parks in Bengaluru”.  He told us that they have been campaigning in Tech-Mahindra, HCL, Embassy Manyata Tech Park, Philips, ITPL, L&T Infotech and other socially conscious organization which support car pooling and understand the urgency.

Anna at Philips says, Quick Ride is providing options, that otherwise go waste. Safety tends to get compromised when people do not have options. But traveling with friends and colleagues from same company will any day be safer than traveling with complete strangers.  Quick Ride enabled it nicely.

Suneel, Architect at Philips says “Quick Ride is the smartest carpooling application we have today, ease of transaction, transparency, verified users feature and intuitive UI is what makes it my most preferred carpooling application in the ride sharing domain”
