Psychological Thriller 'Rumor From Ground Control' is Now Playing on Prime Video

A reporter's pursuit of the truth leads her down a path of self-destruction, harming everyone in her circle.

Rumor from Ground Control - Stake Out

An anonymous source, a whistleblower, and a journalist desperate for a lead all come to a head in the psychological, neo-noir thriller, "Rumor from Ground Control."

With a corporate buyout looming over her position, Erika Graesen, a local female investigative journalist, faces a dismissal from failing to deliver on her metrics. After receiving a video of a classified military space mission, she risks her career and safety by chasing the story her father once covered as a reporter before his disappearance. Through her investigation, she uncovers a connection to a science foundation. Blackmailing the foundation’s executive assistant, Erika forces her to prove a crime that fits the story. As the news breaks, Erika finds herself and her contacts entangled in a dark conspiracy with no way out.

While attending a private lunch with an astronaut at NASA's Space Center Houston, I learned how many space missions are classified and operate under military control. This revelation opened my imagination and informed the theme of the film.

Seaton Lin, Writer & Director of Rumor from Ground Control

Written and directed by Seaton Lin, the film stars Alexis Moeller, Chase McGuire, Megan Le, Marc Anthony Samuel (General Hospital), Pete Gardner (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and Michael B. Silver (ER, Royal Pains, Suits, Instinct). Producers are Matthew Tully Brown and Chase McGuire.

“While attending a private lunch with an astronaut at NASA’s Space Center Houston, I learned how many space missions are classified and operate under military control. This revelation opened my imagination and informed the theme of the film,” said Seaton Lin.

“I love classic film noir and American neo-noir movies of the 1970s that took creative risks with storytelling. With my directorial debut, I wanted to push the boundary with my characters, while staying true to the genre’s form.”

"Rumor from Ground Control" is now playing on Prime Video.
