PSG Management Ready for Fourth Quarter, Holiday Season

The PSG Management leadership team members are excited to see their fourth-quarter plans come to fruition. The firm's managers set end-of-year goals long before the holidays, and the director discussed this in detail.

"There might have been a time when business owners had the option of setting the same goals year after year. Maybe back when people were loyal to the products and services their parents used – just because their parents used them,” explained Victory, PSG Management’s director of operations. “That is definitely not the case today though. Status quo is no longer a viable option. Innovation and growth aren’t just nice – they’re essential for survival.”

Victory makes a point of setting targets for many different divisions of PSG Management. Sales and revenue goals are essential, he confirmed, but there is also a need for benchmarks in such areas as customer satisfaction and loss prevention. Most of these plans are set into motion at the beginning of each calendar year, and broken up into fiscal quarters. The team has been looking forward to implementing its fourth-quarter strategy for some time now. “I can’t imagine waiting until the holidays are here to start thinking about how to handle them. We’re just too busy for that,” Victory stated.

"If you're ready for it, the fourth quarter will be the most wonderful time of year!"

Being proactive when considering end-year objectives also gives PSG Management’s team the flexibility to incorporate new developments and audience demands into promotions. As an example, Victory and his crew adjusted to the increased use of mobile technology in the last few years because they had a solid plan in place first. “Digital shopping came on fast and strong, but we were ready. We’re equally prepared for whatever the 2015 holiday shopping season will present.”

How PSG Management’s Director Prepares for the Fourth Quarter

The fourth quarter is unique in its challenges, and they don’t just come from the holiday shopping extravaganza, continued Victory. He believes some important HR considerations need to be made as well. After all, PSG Management’s associates are people too, and just as excited about the season on a personal level as everyone else. Motivation becomes a very real issue in the fourth quarter, as people think more and more about the many festivities the season provides.

The best way Victory knows to handle the potential distractions is to incorporate a plan to keep his crew on track into the fourth quarter’s operational goals. “People will be daydreaming about gifts and parties no matter how professional they are. Don’t fight it; expect it,” he concluded. “Plan on working around vacations and keeping your team focused. On the other hand, don’t let your crew slack off – reward effort. If you’re ready for it, the fourth quarter will be the most wonderful time of year!”
