Prostate Cancer Patient Education Event
Philadelphia, PA, February 23, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Jefferson and Prostate Conditions Education Council (PCEC) are reaching the community by providing a FREE prostate cancer patient education event to all men, prostate cancer patients and caregivers on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM. Men and caregivers will have the opportunity to come and learn from experts about the important and ever changing topics in prostate cancer including information on early detection, biomarkers and genomic testing and instill an understanding of the different treatment options for both early and advanced prostate cancers. As well as information on nutrition and post treatment side effects such as erectile dysfunction.
Prostate cancer patients are confused about the new and ever changing treatments in prostate cancer and how to gain access to these therapies and when to request them to gain the most benefit.
"Hosting educational events is deeply important to PCEC. Making a difference in the community and reaching more men and their caregivers with cutting edge information helps to extend lives and keep families together longer. Prostate cancer is a complex and constantly evolving subject and we want patients to be educated and to advocate for their health care!"-Wendy Poage, Prostate Conditions Education Council President.
