ProCare Rx PBM Announces the Promotions of Two Key Executives
Online, April 1, 2014 (Newswire.com) - ProCare Rx announces the promotions of two key executives. Michael Rose has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Pharmacy Officer. Steve Treff has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer. These new assignments have been made in response to the company's rapid growth and to promote future expansion.
"Mike and Steve are two dynamic leaders with over 55 years' combined experience in the pharmacy benefit managed care industry. Much of our growth over the past few years has been supported by their operational and clinical management. Their vision and passion will help lead our company into the future," said Roger Burgess, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ProCare Rx. "The pharmacy benefit management role in healthcare has changed dramatically over the past few years and continues to rapidly evolve. Through their visionary leadership, I expect ProCare Rx to continue to stay ahead of that evolution and to provide our clients with industry leading technical and clinical services coupled with innovative, cutting edge pharmacy cost management programs. They will each report directly to me, and I look forward to working with Mike and Steve in their new roles."
Mr. Rose, who most recently served as ProCare Rx's Executive Vice President/General Manager of ProCare PharmacyCare and ProCare HospiceCare, has been with the company for over 8 years and has over 20 years of managed care/pharmacy experience. In his new role, he will continue to be responsible for all Hospice Operations along with Mail Order and Specialty Pharmacy Operations and will also assume the added responsibilities of oversight of all Pharmacy and Clinical Operations for all lines of business, including ProCare Pharmacy Benefit Manager as well as ProCare HospiceCare.
Formerly filling several of the ProCare Rx executive management positions over the course of the company's growth during his 14 year tenure, Mr. Treff's experience at ProCare caps off a 35 year career in the prescription drug industry that began with his position in Retail Pharmacy Operations and IT Services with Peoples Drugs in 1977. His new responsibilities will include the overall responsibility for all aspects of ProCare Pharmacy Benefit Manager operations and financial results.
