PrestoSports Announces Acquisition of SuperFan, Inc.

Acquisition adds new mobile fan engagement app, fundraising platform, and electronic ticketing capabilities to PrestoSports' athletic network suite of solutions

PrestoSports

PrestoSports, the leading all-in-one sports technology platform in college athletics, today announced the strategic acquisition of SuperFan, Inc., the market leader in mobile fan engagement including marketing, fundraising, and ticketing solutions for athletic programs. Already the leading provider in collegiate and high school streaming, website, social graphics, and stats technology, this acquisition expands PrestoSports' suite of solutions.

SuperFan, Inc. (formerly known as SuperFanU) headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, has developed a mobile fan engagement platform that offers rewards and incentivizes fan participation. With a mission to help schools connect with their fans, SuperFan, Inc. provides the data, technology, and insights to engage fans on all levels. "Athletics programs are seeking new ways to engage their fans," said Keith Womack, President of PrestoSports. "As we continue to expand our all-inclusive solutions for athletics programs, our integration with SuperFan, Inc. gives athletic programs the tools to effectively engage their alumni and fans wherever they are, whenever they want to engage, on the digital channel they prefer."

While the SuperFan, Inc. suite of software and programs is innovating the way schools engage with their fans, the results have also delivered amazing returns for these programs. Harvard University's athletic and marketing departments executed a CrimZone Rewards program leveraging SuperFan, Inc.'s mobile app that resulted in increased attendance between 250%-1000% for events like Women's Rugby, Softball, and Baseball.

"By joining PrestoSports, we can enhance the solutions and services provided to our customers," explains co-founder Kayla Mount, who founded SuperFan, Inc. with fellow sports fan, Chris Nowak. "We can also accelerate the availability a full integrated platform for sports programs everywhere, empowering them to execute impactful fundraising and digital fan engagement programs."

As schools and teams continue to recover from the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 season, many athletic programs are seeking new and creative ways to generate revenue. Some schools, like the University of South Carolina, employed SuperFan, Inc.'s solutions to drive a campaign that averaged over $10,000 a week. Over time, the University realized average additional revenue of nearly $20,000 a week.

The PrestoSports platform has always allowed schools to build their own online sports network to connect with their fans wherever they are. Now, with the SuperFan, Inc. acquisition, athletic programs can further engage, incentivize, and reward their fans, while further funding their programs. Said Womack, "We're thrilled to welcome the SuperFan, Inc. team to PrestoSports and look forward to delivering a comprehensive platform that meets the needs of all athletic organizations and their loyal fans."
