Preh China Wins SGM Supplier Quality HVAC Award
Online, June 11, 2014 (Newswire.com) - NingboPreh Joyson Automotive Electronics Co. Ltd., a Preh subsidiary located in Ningbo, China, was awarded the Shanghai General Motors (SGM) Award for Best Quality Performance, in a recent ceremony held in the Great Tang Hotel in Shanghai. Preh China was one of only two suppliers out of 32 to receive the prestigious award.
The award ceremony celebrated the significant contributions of SGM's suppliers in 2013 as part of the company's global product and performance achievements. A team of SGM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives determines the winners—in Preh's case, the Shanghai GM HVAC Group.
The decisions are based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology and price.
Preh's recognition was based on its ECC "Silverbox", the electronic control unit module for the climate control systems on General Motors SUVs and passenger vehicles for the Chinese market. The Preh system comprises an electronic control unit and software with the necessary control algorithms to achieve a comfortable in-cabin climate for drivers and passengers.
"Out of a world-class list of suppliers," said Chris Jiang, Deputy General Manager Preh China, we are thrilled for this endorsement for the work that our whole team has done here. In addition, we know that the SGM Award also serves as motivation for future collaboration."
