Popular Children's Art Software Now Speaks GIF
Tux Paint makes it easier to share children's animated drawings
OLYMPIA, Wash., December 30, 2020 (Newswire.com) - Version 0.9.25 of Tux Paint, a popular and award-winning computer art program used by school-age children around the globe, has been released. This latest version introduces an animated GIF export feature, allowing slideshows and animated cartoons to be easily shared online.
Other enhancements in this version include an update to the shape-drawing tool, allowing shapes to be expanded from either a corner or from the center of the shape; improvements to the eraser tool; a larger version of the program's on-screen keyboard accessibility feature; documentation and translation updates; new paintbrush shapes; and bug fixes.
Tux Paint is released as open source software and is available for download, free of charge, from the project's official website. The latest release supports various versions of Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Android, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Haiku operating systems.
Tux Paint comes with a configuration tool for parents and teachers, and a large collection of photographic and cartoon artwork, and it has been translated into 130 different languages.
